Upon receiving your report, our fraud team immediately reviews your account activity and places protective holds on suspicious transactions to prevent further unauthorized access.
Your case is assigned to a dedicated fraud investigator who will contact you within 2 hours. You will receive a case number for tracking purposes.
Our team conducts a thorough investigation, analyzing transaction patterns, IP addresses, device information, and any supporting documentation you provided.
We implement immediate security measures including password resets, card replacements, and enhanced monitoring. Compromised credentials are invalidated immediately.
Once the investigation concludes, unauthorized charges are reversed per our Zero Liability Protection policy. Affected funds are typically restored within 10 business days.
You will receive regular updates via email and SMS at each stage of the investigation. You can also check the status of your case anytime through your online banking portal using your case number.

Important information regarding fraud reporting and liability
Zero Liability Protection: Finvera Bank provides Zero Liability Protection for unauthorized transactions reported within 60 days of the statement date. You will not be held responsible for unauthorized charges made to your account, provided you report them promptly and have not engaged in gross negligence.
Reporting Requirements: Federal law requires you to notify Finvera Bank within two business days after learning of the loss or theft of your card or account credentials to limit your liability. Failure to report within this timeframe may increase your liability for unauthorized transactions.
Investigation Timeline: Upon receipt of a fraud report, Finvera Bank will initiate an investigation within one business day. Provisional credit may be issued within 10 business days, pending the outcome of the investigation. Final resolution typically occurs within 45 days for domestic transactions and 90 days for international transactions.
Law Enforcement Cooperation: Finvera Bank cooperates fully with law enforcement agencies. Information from fraud reports may be shared with appropriate authorities. You may be required to file a police report for certain types of fraud.
False Reporting: Submitting a false fraud report is a serious offense that may result in criminal prosecution, civil liability, and immediate account closure. All fraud reports are subject to investigation and verification.
